Which courses can I do on Information Security ?

Thanks for the post. Will definitely go through it. Also, Just wanted to find out If there are any correspondence/online courses on cyber Security or info security?

Dear A____ ,

There are a large no of courses available on Info and Cyber Security but it depends on what is your previous skillset and what do you want to learn further. You can start with SANS cyber Aces free online course which is practical introduction to info security. MOOCs like Coursera regularly courses on Info Security which you can enroll online.

My five step guide
  1. Define your current level and skillset , background and previous knowledge.
  2. Envision your designated future role or position.
  3. Find what skills, knowledge and formal courses/ certifications are required for that role.
  4. Start looking for upgrading your skills with a mix of online and offline study i.e. books, online courses, certifications and formal degrees. 
  5. Continuously check if you are going on the correct path by seeking feedback from peers and seniors in industry and repeat points 2 to 5.
If you can let me know what your present skillset and background I can be more specific on what you can do. For example if you already have a Btech degree then your basic skillset already exists and you can go towards a techno managerial side else pure management side would be recommended.

2024 Year Review and thoughts

  My review of 2024.  The year was a mixed bag with a overall positive outlook and a few hiccups. My ratings on key parameters  Health - Average  Family - Good  Professional - Good  Career - Good  Finances - Average  Health -  My health has been a mixed bag with several notable improvements and some setbacks. Exercise - I was able to regularly attend Gym and do strength training.  Due to improved leg strength I was able to run a 10 k run in Dec in a time of 67 mins . I was 40th out of 120 runners in the Veteran category which I am satisfied with keeping in mind the several issues I had been having at the start of the year.  Gut Health : My stomach and gut issues continued which led me to a take a nutritionist led meal plan. This has helped but I still continue to have gas and loose motions intermittently  and outside food does not suit me at all. The worry is that my weight has reduced from 68 Kg to 63 Kg in las...
